Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood
Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Jemilah Mahmood
Dr. Jemilah Mahmood is a medical professional with more than two decades of experience managing crises in health, disasters and conflict settings. She is currently Professor and Executive Director of the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health at Sunway University in Malaysia. She holds advisory roles at the Consultative Council for Foreign Policy Malaysia and is currently a member of the Health White Paper Advisory Council at the Ministry of Health Malaysia. She is also the sustainability advisor at Air Asia and the national advisor of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society. Globally, she is a member of the board of Roche in Switzerland and the Norwegian Refugee Council. In 2023, she was appointed to the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council of Responsible Resource Use, and one of three Global Champions for the Grand Bargain in Humanitarian Efficiency and Effectiveness. She is a strong advocate of planetary health and sustainability and actively advises on Environment, Social and Governance in the advisory and board roles she holds.
She is the recipient of numerous national and international awards including the most prestigious Malaysian Merdeka Award in 2015 and the ASEAN Prize in 2019, for her contribution to peace, community development and humanitarian work. She also received the inaugural Isa Award for Humanity in 2013 from the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gandhi- King-Ikeda Award for community development and peace building from Morehouse College, USA. More recently, she was awarded the Wu Lien-Teh Award for Leadership in Public Health 2023.

Dr. Marie Studer is an executive leader with more than 20 years of scientific and education program and operational experience delivering results for mission-oriented organizations supporting sustainable community development and audience engagement.
As a collaborative leader, Marie has worked closely with stakeholders to create strategies, partnerships and innovative approaches to deliver programs that provide measurable outcomes. Her career has focused on public accessibility and understanding of science through government and public policy positions, to scientific and education leadership for international citizen science projects, to engaging formal and informal educators and youth in biodiversity learning using hands-on and online resources and tools. She is especially interested in creating awareness and action around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and other international sustainability targets.
Marie has executive leadership experience in non-profit organizations and multi-institutional consortiums, with a proven record in strategic planning, strategic partnership development, organizational management and development, budgeting, fiscal control, staff development, stakeholder relations and fundraising. As a collaborative leader, she listens and finds common ground, while ensuring vision- and mission-guided decisions. She enjoys networking and connecting people, ideas and projects to deliver outcomes and impact. She has held positions as Staff Scientist for the Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program, Chief Scientist for Earthwatch Institute, and as Director of Learning + Education for the Encyclopedia of Life (EOL). She serves on several boards and committees for organizations working to support sustainable communities and environments.

Dr. Fatimah Ahamad
Dr. Fatimah Ahamad currently holds the position of Chief Scientist at the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University, Malaysia. She obtained her PhD in Environmental Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Her primary research interest is in air quality and her experience includes working on projects commissioned by the Department of Environment Malaysia. She also runs AQ Expert Solutions, an enterprise committed to facilitating the understanding of environmental data.

Anwar Felix is an ACCA graduate and holds the position of Deputy President in YouthCare Malaysia, a fast growing youth-based volunteer organization. Anwar has expertise in non-profit related leadership, stakeholder management, and financial management using his knowledge in accounting and finance. His passion lies in ESG reporting and planetary health, firmly believing in the responsibility of businesses to operate sustainably and contribute to a positive impact on the environment and society. Anwar advocates for incorporating environmental, social, and governance factors into business operations to create long-term value for stakeholders and foster a more sustainable future.
Chieko Kondou
Chieko Kondou
Kondou received her Ph.D. from Kyushu University in mechanical engineering, and after seven years of work experience in an air conditioning company, she started her research career in academia. Her main research interests are new alternatives for refrigerants or working fluids classified as long-live-green-house gasses, which are widely used in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. She is dedicated to the contribution of engineering to a society that can lead a civilized life while mitigating global warming.

Danial, is the CEO of Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (ASLI), a 30-year old non-profit think-tank, owned and governed by the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. A former lawyer focusing on human rights and constitutional law, his career has spanned policy, education, media, and technology, with roles such as Press Secretary for Federal Ministers. He is also a columnist, TV show host, public speaker, and coach, focusing on topics like AI, disinformation, and sustainable development. Danial holds a master's in law from Oxford University and an LLB from the International Islamic University Malaysia. In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports and managing his cats' Instagram account.

Dr. Jelena Malogajski
She is the Educational Manager with the Planetary Health Alliance. Her role involves actively contributing to the momentum of expanding and integrating Planetary Health curriculum into international medical, nursing, and public health education systems through the Planetary Health Expand initiative.
She received her medical degree from Belgrade University Medical School in Serbia, her MSc in Health Policy, Economics and Management, and a PhD in Public Health Genomics, from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

Joshitha Sankam
Joshitha Sankam is a public health professional specializing in the domain of climate change and health. Currently working as a Consultant for Climate Change and Health at the Divecha Centre for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science, she is actively involved in designing training programs, conducting surveys, and advocating for climate-related health issues among communities and healthcare professionals. As a Global Outreach Fellow at the Planetary Health Alliance, she is dedicated to building a global planetary health community and promoting planetary health science through public outreach and engagement with policymakers. With a keen interest in the nexus of international relations and planetary health, she is deeply passionate about advancing the health and well-being of communities in the face of climate change.

Datuk Dr Anis Yusal Yusoff
Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff is currently Director at the Centre for Leadership and Professional Development (UM LEAD) at University Malaya. He was previously Principal Fellow at the Institute of Ethnic Studies of the National University of Malaysia (UKM), a position held since January 2009. Between 2015-2020 he was seconded to the Prime Minister’s Department to lead three government agencies; 1) as Deputy Director General of the National Centre for Governance, Integrity & Anti-Corruption (GIACC); 2) as Director General of the National Integrity and Good Governance Department; and 3) as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI).
Datuk Dr Anis Yusal also spent more than ten years with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) between 1994-2005 including a stint with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Headquarters in Bonn, Germany in 2001. He was the Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Programme responsible for Human Development and Governance initiatives for UNDP Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam and was Programme Specialist responsible for UNV in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Region.
Datuk Dr Anis Yusal was appointed by DYMM the King between 2014-2018 as Commissioner and Deputy Chairman of The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC). Most recently, Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal was appointed as an Adjunct Professor with the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences of Taylor’s University, Adjunct Practice Professor with Sunway Centre for Planetary Health of Sunway University and as an Honorary Professor in the field of Information and Human Sciences at Faculty of Business, Information and Human Sciences of The Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL). He is also currently serving as a Member of the Advisory Board of Tan Sri Omar Centre for STI Policy Studies at UCSI University.
Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal has authored over 10 books, and edited more than 20 publications, besides writing many policy papers and articles for journal and newspapers. In addition to his published works, he is also regularly invited by the national and international media as an analyst of Malaysian socio-politics to discuss areas related to integrity, anti-corruption, money politics and ethnic relations.

Mary E. Ashinyo is a Public Health Physician Specialist with emphasis on Health Policy and Systems Management. With almost 15 years working experience, Ashinyo previously worked as a Medical Director of a district-type hospital for 8 years in the Ghana Health Service. She currently works as Quality Lead and Deputy Director at the Institutional Care Division of the Ghana Health Service. As National Focal Person for Water, Sanitation, Hygiene and Waste management (WASH) in Healthcare facilities for Ghana, Ashinyo has experience implementing several national and international WASH programs in over 10,000 healthcare facilities across Ghana with over 20 development partners. She has served on several of Ghana’s national committees on water, sanitation, water safety and air quality and on several global committees on WASH including the WHO Global taskforce for WASH and IRC’s Wisdom Council on WASH. She is the General Secretary for the Ghana Public Health Association. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, U.S.A.

Dr. Ante-Testard is an epidemiologist with a clinical background in nursing. Her training has been focused on equity research in HIV in sub-Saharan Africa using advanced and novel epidemiological and biostatistics methods. She conducted advocacy works and initiatives in planetary health as a Planetary Health Campus Ambassador and co-founder and president of the PlaHNet of Young Professionals. She was part of the Programme Committee during the PHAM 2022. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the UCSF, part of her research has investigated the effects of water, sanitation and handwashing interventions in Bangladesh on child diarrhea by monsoon season and socioeconomic position.

Simon Ticehurst is the Movements Lead at the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll). Between 2015-2022 he was Oxfam International’s Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean. A Latin American specialist, Simon has lived in Latin America since 1986 and is based in Mexico. He has joint British and Mexican citizenship.
Simon has a Masters and PhD in Latin American Studies at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His research looks at Latin America's development perspectives and limitations in the context of globalization. He spends his free time connecting with nature, hiking and cycling.

Senior Education Fellow at PH Alliance, Harvard University.

Ursula Gately is the Community Coordinator with Planetary Health Alliance, where she provides administrative and communications support for all aspects of PHA programs.
Before joining PHA, she completed her studies at Georgetown University, where she earned a degree in Biology of Global Health. At Georgetown, Ursula demonstrated her leadership and initiative by establishing several organizations. Notably, she founded Cura Terra, a research journal focused on intersectional and transdisciplinary environmentalism, and played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Undergraduate Environmental Health Collaborative. She was recognized as one of the American Public Health Association's 2022 Student Champions for Climate Justice. Her dedication to the field of planetary health extends to her passion for exploring the interplay between planetary health, environmental justice, and clinical practice.

She is a biological anthropologist with career experience in policy think tanks and publishing. Her interest in planetary health began when she accepted a position as Public Health Policy Advisor to the Rockefeller Foundation Economic Council on Planetary Health, a programme based at Oxford University, in 2017.
Her own research interests are in infectious disease risk, and she has ongoing projects in Kenya and India, funded by the Grand Challenges Research Fund and UKRI, as well as an ongoing project to develop climate and disease risk mapping software, funded by Oracle.

Liz is an internationally recognized expert in interdisciplinary policy analysis and communications with 20+ years’ experience mobilizing knowledge and engagement on biodiversity, climate change, pollution, food systems, and community health for marginalized populations. She has written landmark science-policy guides and briefs for the International Institute for Sustainable Development, the World Health Organization, and the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), and is a Newsdesk writer for the The Lancet - Planetary Health. Liz draws on 15-years’ experience tracking intergovernmental negotiations across over a dozen multilateral environmental agreements, as well as on 8 years as a community medicine clinician in low resource clinics in the U.S., Central America, and Micronesia.

An intensivist and pulmonary physician, Dr. Maria Guevara is the MSF International Medical Secretary based in Geneva, Switzerland since February 2021. Previously as Global Health Advisor at MSF Switzerland, she led the integration of Planetary Health as an operational strategic thematic. Since 2004, her humanitarian field work has spanned across countries in Africa, Americas, and Asia in both emergency and stable settings. She has also served as MSF’s Regional Representative in Asia from 2012 to 2017, and has been part of various advisory groups in WHO and other institutions. Her specific interests are Emergency Response, Health Security and Planetary Health.

Matthew Carvalho is a student researcher at Georgetown University specializing in planetary health law and diplomacy. Originally from southeast Massachusetts, Matthew has worked multiple jobs in the global health governance fields, including work for the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Capitol Hill, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services. He currently serves as the inaugural policy fellow for the Planetary Health Alliance, based at Harvard University’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is the founder of the Global Health Governance as Public Service (GHGAPS) program, which aims to train students on global health and diplomacy, and leads them to the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland each year. His scholarly work, entitled "Reevaluating Global Health and International Law: The Relationship Between Regime Interaction and Legal Fragmentation Among Mechanisms Governing the Public Health Sphere," has awarded him commendations from environmental and global health legal experts across the globe, and he recently released a textbook chapter on the nexus between ocean law and human health this past June. Matthew is currently pursuing a joint BS/MSc.GH at Georgetown's newly launched School of Health, and will be joining Georgetown University Law Center in fall of 2024.

Dr. Nicole Redvers, ND, MPH, is a member of the Deninu K’ue First Nation (Northwest Territories, Canada) and has worked with Indigenous patients, scholars, and communities around the globe her entire career. She is an Associate Professor, Western Research Chair, and Director of Indigenous Planetary Health at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University. She has been actively involved at regional, national, and international levels promoting the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in both human and planetary health research and practice. Dr. Redvers is the author of the trade paperback book titled, ‘The Science of the Sacred: Bridging Global Indigenous Medicine Systems and Modern Scientific Principles’.

Saori Kashima is an environmental epidemiologist, Member of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology, the Planetary Health Alliance Japan Hub, and so on. Her research emphasizes evaluating health effects from environmental factors including air pollution, natural disaster, accessibility to the health facility, and other health system and policy. She is also working on the research “Community-oriented practice for planetary healthy aging”, in which the concepts of Healthy Aging and Planetary Health are integrated.

Sione is the Executive Director of the Health Promotion Forum of New Zealand. At the global level, he is the President of the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE), and the founder and Co-Chair of the IUHPE Global Working Group on Waiora Planetary Health and Human Wellbeing. Sione is an educator, a writer and public health leader. In recognition of his significant contributions to health promotion and public health at the national and international levels, Sione was awarded the 2019 New Zealand Public Health Champion award by the Public Health Association of New Zealand.

Dr. Potter is deeply committed to climate change and planetary health education. She is a member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments and the American Academy of Nursing Environment and Public Health Expert Panel. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of Columbia University’s Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education, and the Steering Committee of the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA). She chairs Clinicians for Planetary Health (C4PH) for the PHA. She serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the US Health Sector. Dr. Potter is the first Director of Planetary Health for the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Victor Hoe is a highly qualified professional in medicine, public health, engineering, and occupational safety and health. His interdisciplinary collaboration with engineers, IT specialists, and dental experts led to innovative approaches for COVID-19 risk assessment in hospitals. He actively engages in research and consultation projects on occupational and environmental health. Additionally, Dr. Hoe holds the position of Chair for the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia Working Group, overseeing the IAP's Climate Change and Health project. His broad expertise enables him to contribute significantly to the development of solutions for public health challenges in diverse settings.

Nazia is the Program Manager at Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University. She is a qualified professional with a strong background in social work and human rights. She completed her postgraduate studies in Social Work from Jamia Millia Islamia University in India. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights and International Humanitarian and Refugee Laws, indicating her specialization in these areas.
Previously, she has worked with National Commission for Women, Government of India with special focus on supporting female prisoners, female patients in psychiatric homes, and women in distress.
Her professional background also includes collaborations with German and Dutch organizations, where she focused on capacity building and facilitation.
Her career has majorly focussed on addressing social issues, advocating for human rights, and supporting vulnerable populations.

Beng Lean NG is the Group Registrar of Sunway Education Group which is owned and governed by the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation. She provides leadership direction to ensure that the various academic-related support services and departments under the Office of the Group Registrar run smoothly and efficiently. She forms strategic partnerships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to meet the needs and aspirations of institutions within the Sunway Education Group.
Beng Lean has more than 20 years of experience working in private higher education institutions in Malaysia. A Malay linguist by training, she lectured at two higher learning institutions before moving into an administrative role to fully utilise her skills in educational management. She thrives on developing new projects and works well in diverse scenarios and challenges. She advocates awareness-based leadership and has a strong passion to promote education at all levels.

Nur Hazirah Marzuki is the Senior Communications Officer at Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University. She is a graduate from International Islamic University Malaysia with a bachelor's degree in human sciences (English Language and Literature) (Hons).
She is an accomplished communications professional with a keen eye for crafting compelling narratives and building meaningful connections. With a background in internal communications and public relations, she has honed her skills in strategic communication, media relations, and content development.
Throughout her career, Hazirah has demonstrated a remarkable ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact. As a dedicated advocate for authentic and ethical communication, Hazirah strives to create meaningful and positive change through her work, earning her the reputation of a trusted and influential communications expert.
She has also received the “Swiss Army Knife” award from a previous organization for being flexible, adept, and multi-purposed.

Dr. Mayco is a Associate Professor at the Department of Film and Performing Arts and Associate Dean (International) for the School of Arts, Sunway University, Malaysia. He studied at the University of Hawaiʻi as an East-West Center Fellow researching music and dance traditions of the extended Sulu Zone (east Malaysia, southern Philippines, and eastern Indonesia) and its links to the Nusantara region. He conducted research for his doctoral studies in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, as a Fulbright research grant recipient.
He is the author/co-editor of Made in Nusantara: Studies in Popular Music (2021) and Popular Music in East and Southeast Asia: Sonic (under)Currents and Currencies (2022).

Dr Jason Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and MBA from University of Saskatchewan, Canada and PhD in Finance from University of Science Malaysia. His research and teaching areas are in investment management, corporate finance, and corporate governance. He has had more than 21 years of working experience in higher education and has served in several academic departmental leadership positions at various universities.
Dr. Lee is the Head of Governance and Data Management in the Registry Department, Sunway Education Group (SEG). His main portfolio includes overseeing regulatory compliance aspects of MOHE, MOE, and MQA standards and requirements, and establishing data governance and management framework, policies, and procedures within all SEG entities. Prior to this, Dr. Lee was an Associate Professor at Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology.

Revan Lim Tai Jie is the Programme Officer at Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University. He is a graduate from Monash University Malaysia with a Bachelor’s in software engineering and a highly accomplished individual who has made significant contributions in various fields.
Revan's talents extended beyond academics, as he also displayed immense leadership qualities. From organizing school events to leading various clubs and organizations, he exhibited a natural ability to motivate and inspire others.
Throughout his journey, Revan developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship and innovation. His ability to identify opportunities and turn them into successful ventures earned him recognition in the business community.
His commitment to making a positive impact on society has led him to actively engage in philanthropic endeavors. He actively supports initiatives focused on education, environmental conservation, and community development.

Michelle Cheong holds a First-Class Honours degree in Communication from Sunway University, Malaysia, and Lancaster University, UK. With an upbringing and educational background spanning across four continents and six countries (amongst them, the USA, Russia, Hong Kong, Ghana and Hungary), Michelle aspires to bring back her intercultural perspectives and experience to the place that remains home to her: Malaysia.
She is now a Projects Executive at the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Malaysia, where she assists the team with communications as well as in planning and implementing campaigns or activities to help advance the planetary health agenda, including the Planetary Health Summit 2024 and 6th Annual Meeting.

Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff is currently Director at the Centre for Leadership and Professional Development (UM LEAD) at University Malaya. He was previously Principal Fellow at the Institute of Ethnic Studies of the National University of Malaysia (UKM), a position held since January 2009. Between 2015-2020 he was seconded to the Prime Minister’s Department to lead three government agencies; 1) as Deputy Director General of the National Centre for Governance, Integrity & Anti-Corruption (GIACC); 2) as Director General of the National Integrity and Good Governance Department; and 3) as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI).
Datuk Dr Anis Yusal also spent more than ten years with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) between 1994-2005 including a stint with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Headquarters in Bonn, Germany in 2001. He was the Assistant Resident Representative and Head of Programme responsible for Human Development and Governance initiatives for UNDP Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam and was Programme Specialist responsible for UNV in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Region.
Datuk Dr Anis Yusal was appointed by DYMM the King between 2014-2018 as Commissioner and Deputy Chairman of The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC). Most recently, Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal was appointed as an Adjunct Professor with the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences of Taylor’s University, Adjunct Practice Professor with Sunway Centre for Planetary Health of Sunway University and as an Honorary Professor in the field of Information and Human Sciences at Faculty of Business, Information and Human Sciences of The Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL). He is also currently serving as a Member of the Advisory Board of Tan Sri Omar Centre for STI Policy Studies at UCSI University.
Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal has authored over 10 books, and edited more than 20 publications, besides writing many policy papers and articles for journal and newspapers. In addition to his published works, he is also regularly invited by the national and international media as an analyst of Malaysian socio-politics to discuss areas related to integrity, anti-corruption, money politics and ethnic relations.

Dr. Potter is deeply committed to climate change and planetary health education. She is a member of the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments and the American Academy of Nursing Environment and Public Health Expert Panel. She is a member of the Coordinating Committee of Columbia University’s Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education, and the Steering Committee of the Planetary Health Alliance (PHA). She chairs Clinicians for Planetary Health (C4PH) for the PHA. She serves on the National Academy of Medicine’s Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the US Health Sector. Dr. Potter is the first Director of Planetary Health for the School of Nursing at the University of Minnesota.

Matthew Carvalho is a student researcher at Georgetown University specializing in planetary health law and diplomacy. Originally from southeast Massachusetts, Matthew has worked multiple jobs in the global health governance fields, including work for the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law, Capitol Hill, and the United States Department of Health and Human Services. He currently serves as the inaugural policy fellow for the Planetary Health Alliance, based at Harvard University’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He is the founder of the Global Health Governance as Public Service (GHGAPS) program, which aims to train students on global health and diplomacy, and leads them to the World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland each year. His scholarly work, entitled "Reevaluating Global Health and International Law: The Relationship Between Regime Interaction and Legal Fragmentation Among Mechanisms Governing the Public Health Sphere," has awarded him commendations from environmental and global health legal experts across the globe, and he recently released a textbook chapter on the nexus between ocean law and human health this past June. Matthew is currently pursuing a joint BS/MSc.GH at Georgetown's newly launched School of Health, and will be joining Georgetown University Law Center in fall of 2024.

She is the Educational Manager with the Planetary Health Alliance. Her role involves actively contributing to the momentum of expanding and integrating Planetary Health curriculum into international medical, nursing, and public health education systems through the Planetary Health Expand initiative.
She received her medical degree from Belgrade University Medical School in Serbia, her MSc in Health Policy, Economics and Management, and a PhD in Public Health Genomics, from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

- Danial is Chief Executive Officer of the Asian Strategy and Leadership Incorporated (ASLI), a 30-year old non-partisan not-for-profit think-tank, which is owned and governed by the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation.
- Having started his career as a lawyer, Danial’s professional journey has traversed policy, education, media and technology. He has served as Press Secretary to two Federal Ministers across three Ministries (Education, Higher Education and Finance). Among his career highlights include co-writing the 2021 National Budget speech and a successful IPO with an Australian EdTech company on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2019.

- He occasionally hosts “The Nation”, a current-affairs TV talk show on BERNAMA (Malaysia’s National News Agency) where he focuses on economic, social, and finance related matters. - As a speaker, Danial has been invited to give talks on the history and trends in artificial intelligence, future of work, disinformation and UN Sustainable Development Goals to government, financial institutions, GLCs and more. As a debate and public speaking coach, he has conducted training around the region, including China and South Korea.
- In his younger days, Danial was a volunteer with Yayasan Anak Warisan Alam (Children’s Environment Heritage Foundation) where he was exposed to environmental concerns and sustainable development. He is also a trained facilitator on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN CRC) where he was facilitated workshops for UNICEF, Malaysia’s Department of Social Welfare, and SUHAKAM (Malaysia’s Human Rights Commission).
- Danial has conducted workshops on public policy, strategic communications, and power dynamics and leadership for civil servants with various institutions including Universiti Malaya, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Institute for Diplomatic and Foreign Relations (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and more. He is also a qualified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Coach.
